Kota Kinabalu: A 47-year-old woman who turned the tables on a road bully in his 60s because she knew Muay Thai (Thai kick boxing) said the increasing number of such cases lately suggests knowing martial arts may come handy.
She cited the recent snatch theft case in Gaya Street where a woman was left badly bruised and the schoolboy at a Lahad Datu vocational college who was beaten to death by 13 students.
“Otherwise, at least be equipped with pepper spray,” she said, relating what happened when she and her elderly dad were in the parking lot at the Foh Sang Pick N Pay at 11am on Thursday.
Ana, as she wished to be known, said her father was exiting the vehicle to buy drinks when a Chinese in his 60s honked his car rudely as he was about to enter an adjacent parking space.
