KOTA KINABALU: A Kadazan Dusun Cultural Association (KDCA) branch Unduk Ngadau winner has come up with an apology video on her social media, Sunday.
In the one-minute 53-second clip, Viru Nikah Terinisip, also known as “Duyung Darat”, said she would humbly accept if her title is revoked.
She represented Johor KDCA last year at the State Unduk Ngadau Kaamatan competition.
“I sincerely apologised to KDCA, Johor KDCA and the public who were offended by my video post,” she said in the apology video.
“I admitted that I made a mistake and humbly apologised to everyone.”
On Friday, it was reported that KDCA is deliberating on the actions to be taken on a KDCA branch Unduk Ngadau winner whose recent holiday video has sparked the ire of netizens. However, the initial report did not name the winner.
In the holiday video, she responded proactively to male workers who danced suggestively at a popular eatery in Thailand.
