National-level Madani Raya ‘do’ at Sabah International Convention Centre April 20

Kota Kinabalu: The National-level Madani Hari Raya celebration will be held at Sabah International Convention Centre (SICC) here on April 20, from 10 am to 3 pm.

Unity Ministry’s Secretary-General Datuk Azman Mohd Yusof said Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim would attend the celebration in collaboration with the State Government.

“This National-level Madani Hari Raya celebration has been set by the Government on April 20 with an expected attendance of 20,000 people.

“This programme is jointly organised with the State Government. On that day, the feast will start at 10am and is expected to end at 3pm.

“Sabah Head of State Tun Juhar Mahiruddin will be present, as well as Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim and Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor, and meeting with the community at the venue.

“More than 50 menus and popular dishes are expected to be served representing the food of all races including in Sabah.

“At the same time, we also put up a mini exhibition called ‘Rumah Kami’ which showcases the culture of Malaysian society with its diversity of races,” he said after paying a courtesy call on Tun Juhar and Toh Puan Norlidah RM Jasni at Istana Seri Kinabalu.

 He was accompanied by Sabah State Deputy Secretary (Administration) Datuk Diyana Abdullah.

Earlier, Juhar received a courtesy call from the Sabah Public Health Assistants Union led by its President Hilmi Satoh.
