Kids getting duit raya for wishing motorists safe travels go viral

Kota Kinabalu: A video went viral showing a group of children receiving an abundance of duit raya as they stood by the roadside to wish travellers stuck in traffic a Selamat Hari Raya and a safe journey to their hometowns, it has been reported.

In the TikTok video by @ADINDATUDUNGSARUNG, a group of children can be seen standing by the roadside in front of their house, waving and wishing each passing car a safe journey, World of Buzz reported.

Many drivers stopped briefly to give the children duit raya. The children later displayed the many money packets they received.

The video’s caption reads: “The intention was to wish a Selamat Hari Raya and a safe journey, but we never expected to receive duit raya. Thank you to all who gave duit raya to the kids. May you all be abundantly blessed.”
