Kota Kinabalu: A video went viral showing a group of children receiving an abundance of duit raya as they stood by the roadside to wish travellers stuck in traffic a Selamat Hari Raya and a safe journey to their hometowns, it has been reported.

In the TikTok video by @ADINDATUDUNGSARUNG, a group of children can be seen standing by the roadside in front of their house, waving and wishing each passing car a safe journey, World of Buzz reported.

Many drivers stopped briefly to give the children duit raya. The children later displayed the many money packets they received.

The video’s caption reads: “The intention was to wish a Selamat Hari Raya and a safe journey, but we never expected to receive duit raya. Thank you to all who gave duit raya to the kids. May you all be abundantly blessed.”

The video garnered nearly 28,000 likes and over 3,000 shares, reported the social news site further.

It received positive reactions from netizens, with some expressing appreciation for "the supremacy of being kids during Raya" and others feeling truly happy for the children's blessings.
