“This achievement underscores our commitment to industrialisation for the prosperity of Sabahans and the State’s sustained economic growth,” said State Minister of Industrial Development and Entrepreneurship Datuk Phoong Jin Zhe.

Kibing Group’s contribution to Sabah’s economic growth is undeniable. Their daily export of 50 TEUs (twenty-foot equivalent units) of solar glass exemplifies their commitment to the State’s development.

However, their impact goes beyond just numbers. With over 2,000 employees, primarily Sabahans, Kibing Group is a champion for job creation and local talent. Their dedication extends to attracting skilled Sabahan students studying in China to return home and contribute to KKIP’s growth.

Phoong acknowledged the contributions of Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor and former Industrial Minister Datuk Seri Dr Joachim Gunsalam, for their efforts in leading Sabah towards this industrial success.

“Following SK Nexilis’ inaugural shipment last October, Kibing Group’s achievement further solidifies Sabah’s position as a regional industrialisation hub,” said Phoong.

He said Kibing’s exports would double to 100 TEUs per day next month when their second production line comes online.  The State Government is actively supporting this expansion by facilitating the establishment of a third production line for Kibing Group.
