Kota Kinabalu: A 21-year-old labourer was charged with raping his underaged cousin.
The man pleaded guilty before Sessions Court Judge Amir Shah Amir Hassan.
However, his sentencing was deferred to May 2 pending the medical report.
The man is accused of raping the 11-year-old girl at 4am on April 18 at the bedroom of a house in Papar.
He was charged under Section 376 (3)(e) of the Penal Code carries a jail term of between eight and 30 years, and whipping at least 10 strokes, on conviction.
Pending the date, the court ordered the man to be remanded further.
Deputy Public Prosecutor Nurul Shafeerah Mad Iskim appeared for the prosecution while the man was not represented.
