Teen girl made up kidnap story: Police
KOTA KINABALU: Police determined that a teenage girl’s alleged kidnapping on Thursday was a fabrication to escape religious classes.

District Police Chief ACP Kasim Muda advised the public, especially teenagers, not to make up stories about criminal cases.

“These actions can cause panic among the community. Making a false report is also an offence,” he said in a statement.

In a post that went viral on Facebook, the girl claimed to have been kidnapped by a group of men in a white van in Tanjung Aru.
