Kota Kinabalu: Kojasa Holdings Berhad, a government-linked company under Qhazanah Sabah Berhad, is planning to launch a special discount programme on essential goods for civil servants in Sabah, particularly those from the B40 income group.
The initiative aims to reduce the burden of living costs through discounted prices at Kojasa Mart stores when purchasing items using the company’s dedicated application, said Kojasa Holdings Chief Executive Officer Sim Fui.
“We will have a special benefit programme for government staff so they can enjoy these discounts for the B40 group, as the B40 category includes not only the general public but also government employees,” Sim said during a courtesy call on the Head of State Tun Juhar Mahiruddin.
Established in 1978, Kojasa Holdings has introduced several affordable essential goods under its brand, such as mineral water, cooking oil, rice and others. These Sabah government-produced products are priced lower than private labels.
“This is to help expand the Kojasa brand as these are Sabah Government products,” Sim said, adding that the company plans to revamp packaging designs to facilitate future export opportunities and elevate the brand’s image.
The discount programme is part of the State Government’s efforts to assist the B40 segment amid rising living costs. By leveraging digital marketing through a dedicated app, the initiative aims to provide targeted relief to civil servants from lower-income households.
