Kota Kinabalu: Chairman of the Desa Group of Companies, Tan Sri Liew Yun Fah, praised Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor for not politically meddling in the Government Linked Company (GLC), wholly-owned by the State Government, interfering with its professionalism in running the profitable GLC, that on merits and meritocracy, has contributed more than RM30 million to the state coffers.
Liew was speaking at Desa Appreciation Night 2024 themed: “Together We Rise, Bersama Kita Maju” on May 24 at the Sabah International Convention Centre. He later accompanied Hajiji to present long service awards to some staff who have served more than 40 years.
Hajiji commended Liew and his professional staff for the good performance of Desa which is exemplary to other loss making GLCs.
