LABUAN: Chief of Labuan Women’s Affairs Association (Hawa), Fauziah Datuk Din, said Labuan appreciated the RM22 million allocated to upgrade the roll-on roll-off (ro-ro) ferry terminal here.
However, she noted that it would only be effective in resolving commuters’ woes if there was a simultaneous upgrade of the terminal as well.
“An additional ramp here will help in quicker turnaround of vessels, but in Menumbok, there is only one ramp,” said Fauziah.
She further observed the ramp was not the only issue that caused the terminal to be choked with passengers and cars with traffic spilling over to the main roads and affecting flow.
