Kota Kinabalu: The ‘Double Six’ tragedy must become a part of the history syllabus, said Sunduvan Sabah Chairman Aloysius Danim Siap.

He said the NGO is determined to make it compulsory.

Every year since 2012, Sunduvan Sabah has been organising a commemoration of the victims of the Nomad N-22B 9M-ATZ plane, which crashed on June 6, 1976.

The main purpose of each event is to demand the government release the Double Six crash investigation report which was previously classified as an official secret under Section 2C of the Official Secrets Act 1972, Act 88.

The struggle continued until the Double-Six Tragedy investigation report, was declassified on April 6, 2023.
