KIULU: Eighty villagers from Kg Tomis Baru, here received healthcare assistance from 20 volunteers, including five doctors and nurses from both government and private sectors, recently.
Their nearest government clinic is in Tamparuli, about 15km away.
Half of the 33 adults who underwent health check-ups were diagnosed with hypertension.
“Some of them were not aware they had hypertension or were suffering from fungal infections”, said Dr Erle Henry of QEH who led the team.
