PETALING JAYA: The Sarawak government is waiting for Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim’s decision on the state’s healthcare issues under the Malaysia Agreement 1963 (MA63), says deputy premier Dr Sim Kui Hian.

Sim said the issues would be discussed at the upcoming MA63 implementation council meeting, expected to be held next month.

“We are waiting for the prime minister, who will chair the meeting. Our technical committee has made some progress, but we still need the prime minister (to decide).

“It is not just about health. MA63 has many issues that remain unresolved,” he said at the launch of the Heart2Miss programme at the Sarawak General Hospital yesterday.
