Kota Kinabalu: A viral video showing a car driving against traffic at a busy traffic light intersection here has caused concern among netizens.
The dashcam footage dated May 29 was taken to Facebook by user Chong Tze Nam.
The video garnered widespread attention and has since been viewed about 859,000 times and shared 2,000 times.
The incident was recorded in Foh Sang by a dashcam in a vehicle behind a Perodua Alza seen in the clip waiting for the traffic light to turn green.
Near the end of the video, a Perodua Axia is seen unexpectedly entering the lane against its direction, passing between vehicles, including the Perodua Alza and the vehicle with the dashcam.

Netizens expressed disbelief and concern in the Facebook post's comments section.
“[One needs to always] stay alert [on the road], especially new drivers,” said one netizen, Fieyrah Mua.
Some were concerned if an accident occured later off camera.
“Is there more [to the dashcam footage]?” asked Raymond Cys.
