Kota Kinabalu: A man was robbed of his gold chain reportedly worth RM100,000 at knifepoint in broad daylight in Miri, Sarawak, a viral CCTV footage shows. 

Miri Police Chief ACP Alexson Naga Chabu said the victim, 29, had filed a report and police are searching for the suspects, DayakDaily reported.

At the beginning of the video, a man is seen casually walking down a street when an almost-fully masked robbber suddenly rushes and pulls him towards a nearby car.

The footage then shows another masked individual waving what appears to be a parang at the victim, who nods in compliance.

The robber is also seen forcibly removing what is believed to be an RM100,000 gold necklace from the victim’s neck.

The frightening clip has gone viral on the Miri Edition Facebook page and other social media platforms
