Kota Kinabalu: A 29-year-old man was charged with two counts of committing Criminal Breach of Trust involving a sum of RM21,998.
Mohd Faiz Raiman pleaded not guilty before Sessions Court Judge Amir Shah Amir Hassan to both charges.
On the first count, Mohd Faiz is accused of breaching the trust given to him as a relations executive officer of Syarikat BVP Rich Holding Sdn Bhd by taking the collection amounting to RM12,000 from the company’s customer, Sadorah Vickson for his own use.
The offence allegedly took place at the company premises in KKIP Selatan Taman RBF, here, between March 13, 2021 and March 29, 2021.
On the second count, he allegedly committed the same offence by taking the collection of RM9,998 from the company, customer Siti Subaida Samsuddin for his own use at the same place April 29, 2021.
The offence under Section 408 of the Penal Code carries a jail between one and 14 years, and whipping, and fine, on conviction.
The court set July 29 for mention and released Mohd Faiz on bail of RM4,000 in two local sureties for each charge.
Earlier, Mohd Faiz, who was not represented, asked for bail to be given saying that he was not working and his parents were sick.
Mohd Faiz asked for a lower bail. Deputy Public Prosecutor Al-Hakim appeared for the prosecution.
