Kota Kinabalu: Tourism Malaysia Sabah is set to launch the “Fly Borneo Specials Volume 2” brochure, offering travellers an array of exciting tour packages.
Tourism Malaysia Sabah Deputy Director Trecey J. Tojuka said the brochure would feature more than 100 thematic holiday packages for Sabah, Sarawak and Labuan.
She said the programme, taglined “More Adventure Awaits You,” involves over 50 participating travel agencies.
The Volume 2 brochure, a collaboration between Tourism Malaysia, Bank Rakyat, Firefly and Maswings, will be launched on July 23 in Penang.
Over 100 buyers from Penang, Kedah, Perlis and Perak are expected to participate in the business to business session and a dinner jointly hosted by Sabah Tourism Board, Sarawak Tourism Board and Labuan Corporation.
The promotional campaign will run from July 15 to Aug 15, with the travel period until Dec 31.
Highlights of Volume 2 include a 40 per cent discount on airfare offered by Firefly Airlines and MASwings via Penang to promote inter-state travel.
“Firefly will fly directly from Penang to Kuching and Kota Kinabalu to encourage more people from the peninsula to explore the Borneo states,” said Trecey.
Additionally, she said, Bank Rakyat will offer an easy payment plan with zero interest for instalment payments up to 36 months for tour packages with a minimum purchase value of RM1,000.
“We hope more people in the peninsula will take advantage of the special packages to explore the Borneo states, which have many exciting destinations,” added Trecey.
