Kota Kinabalu: Hii Ding Wei has found his late wife’s handphone in the wake of the tragic Penampang floods.
The 39-year-old took to Facebook for help in recovering the purple Honor handphone (pic).
The device, lost during the incident that claimed her life, held precious memories that Hii was desperate to retrieve. “I am incredibly grateful to have my wife’s phone back,” Hii said.
“I can’t express how much it means to me to have it returned.”
Hii had asked anyone who found the phone to return it to him or to the Daily Express office in Kota Kinabalu.
On Wednesday, the finder reached out to him after locating it.
“While nothing can bring back my wife, I’m thankful to everyone who shared my post and especially to the person who found and returned the phone,” he said.
