4 injured after ambulance skids into drain
Four people who were injured in an early morning accident involving a health ministry ambulance today have been sent to Taiping Hospital for treatment. (Fire and Rescue Department pic)
IPOH: Four people, including a 68-year-old man, were injured when the health ministry ambulance in which they were riding skidded into a drain near Jalan Tol Kamunting, Taiping, today.

Perak fire and rescue department assistant director (operations) Sabarodzi Nor Ahmad said the incident occurred at 3.30am, as the ambulance was returning to Parit Buntar Hospital after taking the senior citizen to Taiping Hospital for treatment.

The three others injured were ministry staff comprising two men and a woman, aged 20 to 57, he said in a statement.

According to the statement, the senior citizen and female staff member were seriously injured in the crash.
