Kota Kinabalu: A total of 22 individuals received the Certificate of Appointment of Yayasan Nur Jauhar (YNJ) from the Head of State Tun Juhar Mahiruddin.
YNJ Chairman, Datuk Al-Hambra Tun Juhar, said the recipients included eight new volunteers and 14 re-appointed members to help the foundation’s charity work.
“YNJ’s charity programme includes a trip to Kinarut to help 30 asnaf.
“We will also go to Kota Marudu, Kudat and several other districts where we will collaborate with the Chinese Consul to contribute to building libraries and school resource centres.
"YNJ previously not only helped the asnaf groups in the Muslim community, but also non-Muslim asnaf groups, for example, in Ranau, Tambunan and others.
Among those reappointed YNJ members are the Board of Directors, Associate Professor Datuk Dr Abdul Kadir Rosline, Awang Hafizul Awang Muslaini and Honorary Treasurer, Datuk Abinan Asli.
The newly-appointed are Ir Ts Jamilah Tukang, Datu Mohd Rais Aslam Datu Jamigul, Rizal Ramelin, Mohd Rafly Samsudin, Rahman Rusman, Muhammad Taqiuddin Januri, Zailzuly Shakry and Suffi Mohd Harewan Aliamat.
Meanwhile, the YNJ presented donations to 30 new converts and two Asnaf from the Kota Kinabalu Hidayah Centre Foundation (HCF). The presentation was by the Governor’s wife, Toh Puan Norlidah RM Jasni, who is also YNJ Advisor.
