Programme with scientists at 100 schools to stir interest in STEM
Education minister Fadhlina Sidek said the synergy between her ministry and stakeholders has been intensified to increase students’ interest and participation in STEM as requested by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.
Kuala Lumpur: A programme with scientists will be immediately carried out at 100 schools nationwide to attract students’ interest in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM), says education minister Fadhlina Sidek.

She said the programme would be implemented in collaboration with the science, technology and innovation ministry (Mosti).

She said her ministry, together with the higher education ministry and Mosti, had also established a special STEM committee focusing on the direction of STEM, from the school level up to higher education.

"Various STEM-related development programmes, initiatives and activities are being carried out at schools involving the cooperation of corporate strategic partners and the community," she said in a statement today.
