Razlan was also found to possess an Indonesian passport under the name Razlan Yusuf, which is his true identification record, the court heard.

Unrepresented, Razlan requested a lower fine, citing a stomach tumour since 2019.

Mohd Naser applied for an appropriate sentence, stating that the offence has had a negative impact and could jeopardise national security and sovereignty, as well as serve as a lesson to the public.

The prosecution also informed the court that Razlan claimed that he obtained the fake document 20 years ago in 2004 for RM300.

Lovely, in meting out the sentence, ordered Razlan to serve the sentence from the date of his arrest and be referred to the Immigration Department for further action.
