Kota Kinabalu: Sabah FC II head coach Alto Linus is hoping his players will be able to execute what they have learned from him so far to get a good result against Kedah Darul Aman FC B in the MFL Cup tie this afternoon (Monday) at Likas Stadium.
He believed the players have shown some positive improvement since he took over the head coach job from Johnny Dominicus.
“There are signs of positive development to the squad in terms of training, communication and mentality.
“The idea to include video and visual analysis in their training sessions helps the players to identify their own mistakes and rectify them.
“I believe they are capable of providing stiff competition to our opponents and it is not impossible for us to get the first three points at home, tomorrow,” he said on Sunday.
He also said it is not easy to transform the team after only three weeks at the helm but vowed to give his best to turn the team’s fortunes around as best as he could.
He also called on the home fans to turn up for the match to give their support to the team.
For the record, Sabah FC II have lost their opening six matches to date including two under Alto where they lost 0-6 to Selangor PKNS FC and 0-2 to Kuala Lumpur FC.
