Jeffrey pointed out that these terms are not only legally grounded in the Federal Constitution and State Constitution but also align with the Sabah Interpretation (Definition of Natives) Ordinance, providing a more comprehensive and respectful representation of all indigenous peoples in Sabah.
Kota Kinabalu: Parti Solidariti Tanah Airku (Star) President Datuk Jeffrey Kitingan drew attention to the inadequacy of terms like “Momogun” and “Kadazandusun” in fully representing the diverse indigenous communities of Sabah.
