Oil tanker destroyed in Lahad Datu blaze
A team of 16 firefighters from Lahad Datu fire station was sent to the location and arrived at 4.14pm.
LAHAD DATU: A tanker carrying diesel was completely destroyed when it caught fire near the roundabout of Jalan Dam, in Lahad Datu, on Monday.

No one was hurt.

According to the Fire and Rescue Department, they received a call via MERS999 regarding the incident at 4.07pm.

“A team of 16 firefighters from Lahad Datu fire station was sent to the location and arrived at 4.14pm.

Also present were the police and a state Water Department personnel.

“The team successfully controlled the fire at 10.08pm and ended the operation at 11.59pm after they made sure there was no other danger at the scene,” said the department.
