Kota Kinabalu: The Association of JCI Senators of Southeast Asian Nations (Asean) will host a distinguished panel of business experts at their upcoming Board of Directors Meeting in Sandakan, Aug 30 and 31.
The event marks the 25th anniversary of the JCI Asean Senate.
The meeting will feature presentations on cross-border trade opportunities, focusing on the Philippines and Kalimantan.
Sabah Cross Border Trade Association (SCBTA) President Razanah Paimin will deliver a keynote address on “Business Opportunities in Cross-Border Trading with the Philippines.”
Her expertise in cross-border trade will provide valuable insights for attendees.
The event will also include presentations from the Indonesian Consulate in Kota Kinabalu and the Sandakan Chinese Chamber of Commerce on “Investment Opportunities in Kalimantan” and “Sandakan Business Opportunities,” respectively.
These presentations will offer a comprehensive overview of the business landscape in these regions, highlighting potential investment avenues for attendees.
Asean committee chairman JCI Sen. Benjamin Lo emphasized the importance of the event, stating that “This year’s Board of Directors Meeting will focus on key issues facing the region, with a particular emphasis on exploring the potential of cross-border trade.”
He added, “We are honoured to have such renowned experts join us for this important event. Their insights and experience will be invaluable to our members as we explore the opportunities and challenges of cross-border trading with the Philippines.”
The JCI ASEAN Senate believes that this event will provide a platform for its members to gain a deeper understanding of the potential benefits of cross-border trade and to forge new connections with partners in the Philippines and Kalimantan.
