2,000 expected at Longchuan conference in Kota Kinabalu

Kota Kinabalu: The 7th Global Longchuan Association Conference cum Longchuan Industry Development Investment Conference will be held here from Sept 7 to 9.

State Minister of Tourism, Culture and Environment Datuk Christina Liew has been invited to be the guest of honour at the Sabah International Convention Centre on Sept 8.

She commended the organisers for their success in getting the conference to be hosted for the first time outside of China.

President of the Federation of Malaysia Longchuan Association, Peter Chong Su Leong said the event is co-organised by the Federation of Malaysia Longchuan Association and United Sabah Longchuan Association.

“About 2,000 Longchuan delegates and participants from Malaysia particularly Sabah, China and around the world, and leaders and officials from the Longchuan County, China will participate in the event,” said Chong who is also President of the United Sabah Longchuan Association.

Also present were other members of the Federation of Malaysia Longchuan Association Committee comprising Deputy President Linah Thien Fook Kiaw, Vice-President Chung Kiam Fui, Assistant Secretary Ho Chi Hin, and Committee Members Yong Ket Leong, Yong Vin Leong and Yong Thau Hung as well as Committee Members of the United Sabah Longchuan Association Janet Chong and Vincy Chong.
