Malaysia ranked 15th trendiest nation

Kota Kinabalu: Malaysia has secured 15th spot in ceoworld magazine’s 2024 ranking of the world’s trendiest countries.

According to the report published online, Malaysia achieved a trend score of 80 based on its performance in three key areas: fashion landscape; art, design and culture; and market competitiveness.

“The ranking is based on data from the 2024 trend score, which is a characterisation of 126 nations based on a survey of more than 126,000 people,” the report states.

Within the Southeast Asian region, Malaysia is second only to Singapore, which ranks 12th globally.

Singapore’s trend score of 83 highlights its well-established reputation as a global city with a vibrant cultural scene, making it the top-ranked Southeast Asian nation.

Other Southeast Asian countries making significant appearances in the rankings include Thailand (23rd), the Philippines (25th), and Indonesia (35th).

France tops the list as the trendiest country, followed by Italy, Canada, Spain, and the United Kingdom.
