KOTA KINABALU: A photo of famous South Korean star Lee Seung Gi with staff from a resort in Keningau, uploaded on Facebook on Tuesday, has surprised social media users, especially fans of the celebrity.

When contacted, a resort's spokesperson said Lee and a production team were at the resort from Aug 22-27 to film a new variety show called “Survival King”.

The show was reported to be an outdoor survival game-reality show featuring 12 contestants divided into four teams.

It was understood that the production team would film at Batu Punggul, Nabawan, and Labuan, among other locations.

Lee began his career as a singer in 2004, at the age of 17, before expanding his horizons to become an actor, programme host, producer, and company owner.

He is also frequently involved in various charitable activities.
