Kota Kinabalu: The Sabah Indian Chamber of Commerce’s (SICC) held a “Digitalisation – The Way Forward” workshop at SICC recently attended by 100 people, including students, members of the B40 and M40 community, business professionals, chamber members and entrepreneurs.
Its President, Datuk V. Jothi said Sabah Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor’s backing reflects a broader commitment to creating an environment conducive to economic development and technological advancement.
“The partnership highlights the government’s dedication to empowering local businesses and individuals with the necessary tools and knowledge to thrive in an increasingly digital world.
The audience benefited from sessions led by speakers such as Prof Datuk Foo Ngee Kee, who shared his extensive expertise in financial management and business leadership; Angeline Liew, Chief Marketing Officer of People Empowerment Academy & Consultancy PLT (PEA), who provided insights into digital marketing strategies and Michelle Voo, a Chartered Accountant and Licensed Financial Planner, who offered practical advice on digital-age accounting practices.
Jothi also thanked Sabah Credit Corporation for their generous sponsorship and dedicated booth which enhanced the workshop.
“The booth served as an invaluable resource for participants, offering essential information on financing strategies, including detailed insights into soft loans.
“Representatives from Sabah Credit Corporation were on hand to provide guidance on various funding opportunities and assist with the step-by-step procedures for applying for these loans.
“This hands-on support is designed to equip participants with the financial tools and knowledge necessary to advance their business growth and development effectively.
