Kota Kinabalu: A spare parts runner died after crashing his motorcycle into three cars near the Isuzu Showroom along Jalan Kolombong Friday morning.
Medics pronounced the 21-year-old dead at the scene following the 8.30am incident.
It is learnt that the victim who resided in Alam Mesra was on his way to work of two months in Penampang.
Preliminary police investigations revealed the man had knocked the left side mirror off a Perodua Aruz driven by a 43-year-old woman on her way to work at i-Plaza Commercial Centre also in Penampang.
He then lost control and hit a Nissan Van ahead driven by a 44-year-old man and was then flung to the right rear side of a Perodua Myvi driven by a 30-year-old man which fatally injured him.
Insp. Royston is the Investigating Officer for the case, aided by Sgt Iskandar.
The deceased’s brother was also at the scene and was visibly distraught.
A two-hour long traffic jam ensued from both directions towards Tuaran and to the city area as many slowed down to witness the incident.
The victim’s body was then brought to Queen Elizabeth Hospital for an autopsy.
