Beaufort home razed
Firefighters putting out the fire.
BEAUFORT: A three-door non-permanent house was destroyed in a fire in Kampung Batu 2 Jalan Lumadan, Wednesday.

Beaufort Fire and Rescue Station Chief, Muhammad Hasbullah Nenggok, said firefighters including an Emergency Medical Rescue Service (EMRS) vehicle were rushed to the scene upon receiving the 7.57pm distress call.

Upon arrival, the fire brigade found that the house measuring 30x20ft was completely engulfed in flames. The team confirmed that there was no casualty.

Firefighters used two spouts from a 300ft stream of water sourced from an open water area nearby with a floating pump.
