Kota Kinabalu: A video has gone viral showing a flood victim using an improvised raft to navigate floods in Penang.

Uploaded in the Penang Kini Facebook page, the clip shows the individual rowing through a submerged street atop a container attached to a flat piece of wood, effectively serving as a raft.

The video has been played over 23,000 times and amassed 302 reactions on Facebook.

Several roads were flooded in Penang after continuous heavy rain.

The individual in the video adds another perspective to how people navigate the inconvenience and shows that hardship can sometimes be overcome by simple means.
