Tame, NGOs appeal for new premises

Kota Kinabalu: Chief Executive Officer of the Tanjung Aru Marine Eco-system (Tame) Japson Wong said they received an unexpected letter in August from the current owner (Telekom Malaysia), informing them that they must vacate their current premises by December. 

The property had been sold to a new owner.

Japson said there are around 30 other NGOs operating from the site, providing a range of community benefits through educational programmes and environmental initiatives.

“The notice came as a shock in August, and we are required to leave by December this year.
