Kota Kinabalu: The Kota Kinabalu Fire and Rescue rescued a woman who was trapped outside a 6th-floor apartment's balcony at One Sulaman Platinium Tower on Tuesday night.

It is understood that the 19-year-old was locked out and trapped between corridors outside the veranda. 

The Sabah Fire and Rescue Operations Centre reported an emergency call was received at 10.15 pm and rushed a team of 10 personnel led by Welson Juanis to the location 17 kilometres away. 

"The team with personal protective equipment used ropes and harnesses to rescue the woman. After confirming she did not sustain injuries, the victim was handed over to the police for further action," said the department's spokesperson.
