Kota Kinabalu: Some 200 families in Papar received essential goods from Yayasan Petronas as part of its Memacu Kehidupan 2024 Programme.
The programme aims to ease the financial burden on local communities by providing essential goods at a time when families are preparing for holiday celebrations.
The goods were distributed during a Jualan Rahmah Madani Krismas, Sentuhan Kasih and Consumerism Advocacy Programme held at the St Augustine Church in Kinarut, Papar.
Present was Domestic Trade and Cost of Living Minister Datuk Armizan Mohd Ali who said the donation helps families prepare for the upcoming Christmas celebrations.
“The contribution is part of Yayasan Petronas’ broader social impact initiative that has supported 11,850 families across Malaysia during various festive seasons this year,” he said.
He noted that Yayasan Petronas as a social impact arm of Petronas focuses on three key areas, namely education, community well-being and environmental development.
He expressed heartfelt thanks to Yayasan Petronas for their continued support and for helping to make the Ihsan Rahmah Madani initiative a success.
