Kota Kinabalu: Sabah Parks has announced the closure of an island substation in Semporna following the discovery of a suspected World War 2 bomb in the seabed. 

The closure involved the Sibuan Island substation in the Tun Sakaran Marine Park beginning at 12.30pm Tuesday until the situation in the area is safe, said the agency in a statement on Facebook. 

Any inconvenience is regretted, Sabah Parks added.
