SIPITANG: The Sipitang District Hawkers and Small Traders Association (PPPK) wants to further strengthen the relationship and cooperation with the local authority to boost socio-economic development in the district.
Its Chairman Sani Miasin emphasised the importance of the cooperation in view of the current competitive marketplace.
“It is also a unifying platform to address problems to the government, identify business opportunities and welfare provider,” said Sani.
He said this during a courtesy visit to the new Sipitang District Officer Abd. Karim A. M Zahari to introduce the objectives and direction of the association on Friday.
He said PPPK unites hawkers and small traders so they can work together to help each other improve business opportunities and economic standards.
Its objective is to educate, train and guide for skills and experience in the field of business management, he said.
Meanwhile, Abd Karim commended the efforts by PPPK and pledged to lend support.
“It is appropriate that small traders join this association because it benefits them.
“The District Office has no problem in supporting to strengthen the association for the benefit of small traders in this district,” he said.
