Long Pasia: A group of 70 volunteers, including 13 doctors, discovered a lack of awareness among villagers regarding common health conditions such as high blood pressure, here.
This if left unaddressed, could lead to serious complications like strokes.
Dr Erle Henry from QE Hospital led the group as part of the Merdeka celebration programme, “Sentuhan Kasih Merdeka.”
“We had 13 doctors, 1 medical assistant, 3 nurses, 1 lab technologist, 3 pharmacists, and the rest were volunteers and drivers.
We are grateful to the 4x4 drivers who helped transport us to Long Pasia,” said Dr Erle.
