Kota Kinabalu: The Energy Commission of Sabah (ECoS) is committed to strengthening its integrity and supporting the government’s aspirations in combating corruption through a Pledge and Signing of the "Ikrar Bebas Rasuah" (IBR) at Plaza Shell, here, today.

ECoS Chief Executive Officer, Datuk Abdul Nasser Abdul Wahid, said ECoS has established an Integrity Unit which will carry out the functions of the Integrity Governance Unit based on four core functions, namely, governance, strengthening integrity, complaint management, and detection and verification.

“The establishment was in line with the directives of the Prime Minister’s Directive No.1 of 2018 and the Chief Minister’s Directive No.1 of 2023, under the initiative for strengthening Governance, Integrity, and Anti-Corruption (GIA),” he said in his speech at the event.

According to him, in order to strengthen integrity values within ECoS, various strategies have been implemented, including increasing awareness and education by organising training, seminars and workshops as well as developing specialised integrity training modules for new and existing staff.
