LAHAD DATU: The Sabah Immigration Department deported 132 Filipino illegals through the Immigration, Customs, Quarantine and Security (ICQS) Complex, here, on Tuesday.
The State Immigration Department in a statement said the exercise involved detainees at the Sandakan Immigration Depots.
They were sent to Bongao Jetty, Philippines, by the MV Ming Hai Express ferry on a self-financing programme.
"All the detainees comprising 73 men, 20 women, 17 boys and 22 girls. The children were expatriated to their country of origin accompanied by their parents or legal guardian,” said the department.
According to the statement, the self-financing programme costs RM370 for adults, RM210 for children aged 5 to 13 and free for children under four.
