SANDAKAN: The Ministry of Domestic Trade and Cost of Living (KPDN) issued compounds to two business premises here for failing to display price tags on their goods.

Its Sandakan Branch Chief Enforcement Officer Azdy Zukkry John said that the RM300 fines were issued under the Price Control and Anti-Profiteering Act 2011.

Earlier, Azdy led an inspection team to Bandar Letat and Bandar Kim Fung on Tuesday to monitor the supply of essential items, ensure clear price tagging, observe price monitoring and verify the calibration of weighing instruments.

“During the inspection, our team issued a compound on a hardware store for failure to display price tagging.
