KK hotel licence fees restored to original rates
No fee is charged if the room is not checked in, said Kota Kinabalu City Hall.
Kota Kinabalu: With the approval of the state government, Kota Kinabalu City Hall has restored the original licence fee rates under the Kota Kinabalu Regulations 1966 (hotels and hotels) effective 1st January 2025.

Kota Kinabalu City Hall announced this in a statement released today.

The statement stated that hotel and hotel licence fees are calculated according to the formula in the Kota Kinabalu Ordinance (hotel and hotel) and take into account the hotel's class classification and the hotel's occupancy rate.

For each hotel room stayed, the actual fees charged are:

No fee is charged if the room is not checked in.
