MoU for Elephant Corridor Project soon: Liew

Kota Kinabalu: Sabah is on the brink of a landmark moment in conservation with the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for the much-anticipated Elephant Corridor Project scheduled to take place within the next few days. 

This significant step underscores the government’s dedication to protecting its wildlife while promoting sustainable economic growth.

Sabah Tourism, Culture and Environment Minister Datuk Seri Christina Liew said all the necessary steps have been covered and she is confident that when the project takes off, they would be able to manage it properly.

Liew said this during a press conference at a Chinese New Year Media Luncheon 2025 in Kota Kinabalu on Jan. 16, 2025.
