KOTA BELUD: The Institute for Development Studies (IDS) Sabah is conducting an evaluation study on the Kadamaian Development Master Plan 2020-2035.
Entrepreneur and Cooperative Development Minister, Datuk Ewon Benedick, stated that the study began last year after the first five years of the master plan’s implementation.
Ewon, who is also Kadamaian Assemblyman, expressed his appreciation for the many projects that were implemented under the plan throughout the period 2020 to 2025.
“I am happy that many small-scale to large-scale development projects have been implemented throughout the first five years of the Kadamaian Development Master Plan, especially during the Twelfth Malaysia Plan (12MP) 2021-2025.
“I appreciate the contributions of all ministries, departments and agencies implementing the projects that have been and are being implemented throughout Kadamaian.”
Ewon said this during an IDS engagement session with the Kota Belud District Office, Kadamaian Assemblyman Service Centre and government departments, here, Thursday.
According to Ewon, the master plan was the result of the views, suggestions, needs and vision of the people of Kadamaian through a six-month study conducted by IDS from 2018 to 2019 as soon as he was elected as the Kadamaian Assemblyman and the study was funded through the Kadamaian Assemblyman Sentuhan Kasih allocation.
“Last year, I asked IDS to conduct an Evaluation Study on the implementation of this plan including engagement with government departments where six discussion clusters were held today.
“I will provide the results of this study and master plan to all ministers and their ministries as input for the 13th RMK plan for their respective ministries,” he said.
Also present was Kota Belud District Officer Peter Jiton.
