SABAH, as we all know, is not only blessed with beauty comparable to the heavens but it is also culturally diverse and extremely rich in natural resources.
Yet, despite its limitless potential, the state grapple with persistent economic disparity.
The wealth generated by high-level economic activities, such as mega manufacturing projects and large-scale import/export businesses, has not trickled down to the grassroots level effectively.
Instead, such top-down approaches risk widening the gap between the wealth of the few and the struggling majority.
To truly address Sabah’s economic disparity, a serious strategic focus on the grassroots economy is imperative.
