Sabah must press for inclusion of history: Jeffrey

Kota Kinabalu: Deputy Chief Minister Datuk Seri Dr Jeffrey Kitingan said the ball is now in Sabah’s court to pursue the inclusion of her historical events in the Malaysian history syllabus. 

“Our leaders have brought this issue in parliament and the State Government has also raised it.

“They have acknowledged it and now it is up to us to push through and determine what should be included,” he said when asked about the exclusion of the Double Tenth uprising and the Malaysia Agreement 1963 in detail in school history books.

Jeffrey represented Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor at the annual commemoration ceremony at the Petagas Memorial Park,  Tuesday.
