The 50-something suspect was detained on Tuesday after providing a statement at the MACC office in here.

Initial investigations indicate the bribes occurred in early 2024 and involved both money and items like laptops, smartphones, and a motorcycle.

MACC Sabah Director, Datuk S. Karunanithy, confirmed the arrest and stated that the case is under investigation under Section 17(a) of the MACC Act 2009.

The suspect will be released on bail after providing further statements.
