GRS welcomes PN in elections, confident in local support
KOTA KINABALU: KOTA KINABALU: Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS) has expressed openness to facing opposition parties, including Perikatan Nasional (PN), which plans to contest more than 18 seats in the upcoming 17th State Election (PRN17).

GRS Secretary-General Datuk Seri Masidi Manjun welcomed any party, including PN, to compete, even in the Karanaan seat he currently holds.

The State Finance Minister said this to PN's intention, particularly Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (BERSATU), to contest at least 18 seats in the upcoming state elections.

"In Sabah, we do not view political rivalry as something personal. We may differ in political practices and culture, but we never insult others," he told the press at a Chinese new year dinner hosted by AFFIN Bank Berhad on Tuesday.
