KOTA KINABALU: The State Government welcomes the allocation of approximately RM25 million from the Federal Government for the immediate repair of infrastructure damaged and destroyed by floods, landslides, and fires in Sabah and Sarawak.
Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor said immediate assistance was greatly needed to help repair infrastructure damaged and affected by the floods in several districts in the State since the beginning of the week.
“This assistance will certainly ease the burden on flood victims while also helping to repair infrastructure damaged by the floods," he said on Friday.
"The State Government also wishes to thank the Federal Government for this prompt aid."
Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim announced the allocation of approximately RM25 million for the immediate repair of infrastructure damaged and destroyed by floods, landslides, and fires in Sabah and Sarawak during his speech at the Majlis Kenduri Rakyat in Ipoh on Friday.
This allocation also includes immediate assistance of RM1,000 for all families affected by these disasters.
